FSA reviews hedge fund risks


Amid growing concern over the market impact of hedge funds following reported losses from highly leveraged credit trading strategies in May, the UK's Financial Services Authority (FSA) published a discussion paper on the sector last month. The report, which identifies the key risks posed by hedge funds, raises the prospect of enhanced supervisory oversight of those 'high-impact' funds domiciled in the UK.
