Fitch clarifies bank ratings

Fitch Ratings has stepped into the bank ratings debate by publishing the support rating floors its analysts use in their ratings assessments.

The move comes as the market continues to criticise rival Moody’s new bank rating methodology, joint default analysis, which takes into account external support for banks.
