Rescue talks ease monoline fears

As market conditions continue to deteriorate, interested parties are coming together in an attempt to save the imperilled US monoline insurers from bankruptcy.

US federal and state insurance regulators have been locked in talks this week with insurers, banks, financial advisors and rating agencies to help stabilise the bond insurance business.
