Barclays Capital launches first CCO


Barclays Capital has launched the first collateralised commodity obligation (CCO) – an instrument that allows investors to receive debt-like returns from commodities by using the format of a collateralised debt obligation (CDO). Fixed-income investors can now take on commodities exposure through Apollo, a CCO that offers a selection of coupon-paying tranches with varying risk/return profiles.
