Putnam wins mandate from AMP
Putnam Investments has won a fixed-income mandate from Australian investment firm AMP Capital Investors, bringing Putnam's Australian funds under management to more then $1 billion. Charles Wall, Putnam's head of institutional business in Australia, says that global fixed-income markets are increasingly seen as an attractive source of additional returns. "To be successful, fund managers need to be skilled at identifying and capturing inefficiencies as well as being experts at risk management."
