BarCap opens online structured note trading

Barclays Capital has started offering online trading in equity structured notes to customers worldwide.

The London-based bank will post secondary market prices, research and trade ideas on its website. Trades will take place through the 'Barx for Investor Solutions' trading platform.

Launched in July 2003, Barx initially provided a platform for trading euro-denominated interest rate swaps. It has since expanded to cover several other asset classes, including foreign exchange options, interest rate swaps in other currencies, single-name credit default swaps and Treasury inflation-protected securities.
