Scales to retire from London Pension Fund

The chief executive of the London Pension Fund, Peter Scales, has announced his retirement from the organisation which he has headed since it was established in 1990. The search for a successor is underway with Scales' replacement expected to be announced by the end of the summer.

Scales' retirement has prompted a re-organisation of the LPF and the creation of an investment director position who will help the new chief executive monitor the recent LDI mandates the fund put in place at the start of the year.
