Municipal and corporate bonds attract ETF interest

Three credit-linked exchange-traded funds (ETFs) were launched in the US this month by State Street Global Advisers and Van Eck Global, reflecting opportunities across the asset class in both state and corporate bonds.

State Street's Spdr ETF offers exposure to intermediate term credit bonds. The fund, which is listed on the Arca platform of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is linked to the Barclays Capital Intermediate Credit Bond Index, which includes US dollar-denominated investment-grade
