Ombudsman appeals process unlikely

The response period for the two-year review into the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) ended on October 1. The UK Treasury instructed a joint consultation committee, from the FOS and Financial Services Authority, to investigate cases dealt with by the FOS to see whether there should be an appeals process against Ombudsman decisions.
