GSAM offers Ucits III funds

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) has launched the first two of a range of funds in its Societe d'Investissement a Capital Variable (Sicav) under the Ucits III legislation.

The GS Global Currency Portfolio and the GS Commodities Enhanced Index Portfolio, launched last month, offer fund investors active management techniques and asset classes that were previously only available to institutional investors.

According to GSAM, the Global Currency Portfolio may trade in up to 38 different
