The US structured products industry must develop coherent marketing practices or risk regulators getting even tougher. That's according to some of the biggest names in the US market, who were speaking at Structured Products' second Americas conference, held in Coral Gables, Miami. Paul Lyon and Jayne Jung report

Poor investor education is hampering growth of the US structured products industry, according to Dale Miller, managing director of Private Banking for the Americas at Credit Suisse in New York. Miller, the keynote speaker at the Structured Products Americas conference, also warned that "legal challenges - from an internal compliance perspective - and a lack of integrated client advisory tools" are curtailing the development of the US market.
