Barclays Capital says its new online platform for trading equity structured notes will improve service for its private clients and distributors. The platform has been a long time in the making. Daniel Sheehan finds out whether it's been worth the wait

Structured products have traditionally suffered from a lack of online presence. Their complex nature makes it hard to manage online trading and few banks have tackled the problem. Now UK banking group Barclays Capital has launched an online trading platform for the trading of equity structured notes.
