Slowed down by the watchdog

US exchanges

There were 382 structured products listed on the American Stock Exchange (Amex) as of the end of June 2006, up from 330 at the start of the year. Once again, the exchange is experiencing impressive growth, but this figure could have been significantly higher with improved processing from the regulator, says Richard Mikaliunas, senior vice-president of the capital markets group with Amex in New York.
