CBOE panel bullish about exotics



More than 100 attendees gathered at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in June for a panel discussion on "Opportunities in New Exotic Financial Instruments - Closed-End Funds, Hedge Funds and Structured Products."

The topic is of growing interest in the US, as individuals and portfolio managers have recently invested tens of billions of dollars in such instruments to boost their risk-adjusted returns or diversify their portfolios in sideways-trending equities markets, speakers noted.
