French investment banks show an affinity for structured fund platforms


Paris-based Ixis CIB has announced its move to team up with Tokyo-based Sparx Asset Management (Sparx) in a bid to create a managed account platform dedicated to Asian alternative investment assets. It will consist of single-manager funds aimed at channelling more investments to Asian hedge fund managers through direct investment and structured products, explains a London-based Sparx spokesman.
