The great and the good of the investment product world squeezed into a debating chamber at the European Commission's offices in Brussels in the middle of July to finally begin the public debate that followed its Call for Evidence on retail investment products. All 80 of those submitting answers to the call were present, and were treated to a full panel of representatives from the fund management business to open the proceedings.
