Energy hedge fund bulls still running despite MotherRock collapse

A summer of volatile US natural gas prices and the losses and closure of high profile energy hedge fund MotherRock have done little to dent enthusiasm for energy hedge funds, say market watchers.

Whilst some feared the MotherRock closure could be the first sign of general weakness entering the energy hedge fund universe, others believe that the unique strategies of MotherRock mean that its losses can be viewed as a one-off.
