Target redemption launched for retail

Hong Kong’s retail investors are now able to invest in structured interest rate products, following the approval of the first capital protected target redemption funds by the Special Administrative Region’s regulator, the Securities and Futures Commission.

The launch follows a string of sophisticated derivatives products aimed at the region’s retail client base over the past few months, which has included credit-linked notes and first-to-default baskets in Hong Kong, portfolio credit-linked
