London-based hedge fund manager CQS, which manages EUR4.5 billion in assets, is preparing to launch a fund in Asia called the CQS Asia Fund. The fund, to be managed by Jean-Christophe Blanc, will go live in the coming weeks. CQS is seeking to raise $250 million to $350 million, and will target returns of 15% and above.
Blanc, who has been head of Asian convertible bonds on the flagship CQS Fund since 2001, will work with a team of 11 investment professionals in Hong Kong and London. The fund
