Asian hedge funds down, says Eurekahedge

Asian long/short equity funds fell 2.3% in May, reversing a gain of 3.62% in April, said a monthly report from Singapore-based hedge fund index provider Eurekahedge.

The negative performance came on the back of a downturn in regional equity markets, with the Morgan Stanley Capital International Asia ex-Japan index down 7.3% and equity markets in India, Hong Kong and southeast Asia falling dramatically.
