CSFB Appoints New Legal Head As Shake-Up Continues

NEW YORK -- The shake-up at Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) continued in August with the appointment of a leading US financial investigator as its chief legal officer. The appointment is a further move by the investment bank to improve its controls as a top priority after several brushes with financial regulators.

Gary Lynch, who headed the enforcement division of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) from 1985 to 1989, will become CSFB’s global general counsel from October 1. He will
