Chase Manhattan Develops Operational Risk Framework

NEW YORK--Chase Manhattan Bank is developing a framework to measure its enterprise-wide operational risks, according to bank officials. The project includes an emphasis on analyzing operational risks in terms of their effect on shareholder value, as opposed to traditional balance sheet-based approaches to risk management.
