Morgan Stanley Sued By Investors Over Global Fund

NEW YORK--A group of 14 corporate and private investors have filed suit against Morgan Stanley in the New York Supreme Court. The bank is charged with fraud and negligent misrepresentation in connection with its $120 million Global Opportunity Fund, which collapsed in 1995. The investors claim Morgan Stanley fund managers overvalued certain warrants in the fund, despite assurances of independent monitoring.
