State Street Applies Risk Techniques To Its Securities Lending Business


BOSTON--State Street Bank & Trust is revamping the risk management of its $100 million securities lending business, say officials at the Boston-based bank. The effort involves proprietary systems and methodologies developed with Askari Risk Management Solutions, the New York-based risk consultancy house.

Edward O'Brien, senior vice president at State Street, says the bank's new risk consulting group was established in response to risks arising from massive growth in the securities lending
