Harry Krensky runs a highly successful multi-asset, multi-currency investment fund. He describes his latest venture, the Atlas Fund, as a cross between a fund-of-funds vehicle and a hedge fund, which has made him reassess the art of risk-taking.

Harry Krensky, managing partner and one of the founders of Connecticut-based Discovery Capital Management, will almost literally dodge bullets to seek out the next good emerging markets investment. He spends much of his time travelling to the sorts of places that the US State Department strongly advises its citizens not to go near. “The last time I was in Colombia, a bomb went off about a block away,” he says.
