Watching the funds of hedge funds

Though investors in hedge funds are demanding increased disclosure about investment and risk management at hedge funds before parting with any cash, they don’t always practise what they preach. Now, a survey by Ernst & Young has given a glimpse into the somewhat opaque world of risk management at funds of hedge funds.

Fourteen funds of hedge funds completed survey questionnaires last year. Participants included both independent businesses and groups within larger asset management organisations
