Credit Suisse launches longevity index

New angles


Credit Suisse has launched the first market-wide longevity index that maps out historical and projected life expectancy for the US population. The bank also plans to introduce further indexes for the UK and Asia as early as the second quarter of this year, giving pension firms a means to hedge against increasing life expectancy.
