NZX to launch equity derivatives market

The New Zealand stock exchange (NZX) will launch an equity derivatives market in May, following consultation with market participants, says the exchange.

The previously targeted launch date of March 1, 2013 has been extended to ensure market readiness of all participants both in connectivity and clearing, maximising participation in these products from the launch day, the exchange said in a statement.
