Waed Safar

Waed Safar holds a PhD in Economics. Her research focuses on environmental economics, health economics, and socioeconomic inequality, with a particular interest in the development of composite health indices, income inequality indices, and multidimensional measurement.

Her research examines the relationships between indoor energy poverty, health, income inequality, CO₂ emissions, air pollution, and health inequalities, using a range of econometric methods to provide evidence that informs public policy.

Dr. Safar has extensive teaching experience in higher education in France. She has taught at both public and private higher education institutions, delivering courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, statistics, econometrics, and quantitative methods. She is committed to fostering analytical thinking and evidence-based learning among her students.
