Ulrich Bindseil is in charge of the Directorate General Market Infrastructure and Payments of the European Central Bank (ECB) since 2019. He joined central banking in 1994 and has worked many years in the ECB Directorate General Market Operations. He has published on various applied central banking topics, but also on obscure ones such as “Central Banking before 1800” (OUP, 2019).
