Sumit Mehta

Sumit Mehta is a derivatives portfolio manager at Legal & General, a UK-based savings, insurance and asset management firm. Based in the London office, he helps oversee all aspects of derivatives strategy on around £65 billion of AUM, ranging from hedging programmes to investment opportunities arising from bank deleveraging.

Prior to joining L&G, Sumit spent nearly 10 years in RBS’s fixed income derivatives division, where he ran its award-winning inflation structuring business. He holds a BE in electronics engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, Mumbai, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
