Philip Bergmann

Philip Bergmann works as principal expert in the division Policy, Oversight and Analysis in the Directorate General Payments and Settlement Systems at Deutsche Bundesbank. His work focuses on quantitative and qualitative analysis of financial market and leveraging data derived from payment systems. He is actively engaged in ESCB (European System of Central Banks) cooperation through his participation in various working groups and temporarily joined the ECB (European Central Bank) as a Financial Market Infrastructure Expert. He holds a M.Sc. in Economics from Maastricht University and a Ph.D. in Economics from Bielefeld University and further studied at Université de Montréal and Aston University.
