Pablo Durán Santomil, graduated in Business Management (Honours) and Economics (Honours), and has a PhD in Corporate Finance from University of Santiago de Compostela. He is currently an associate professor at the Faculty of Business at the University of Santiago. His research is focused on the study of risk management, international finance and performance of mutual funds. He has published in Applied Economics, The European Journal of Finance, Feminist Economics, Spanish Journal of Finance and Accounting, BRQ Business Research, among other JCR journals.
This paper analyzes the validity of using the loan-to-value (LTV) ratio to explain the behavior of mortgage borrowers at an empirical level.
