Muhammad Arsalan Hashmi, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Head of Accounting, Finance, and Economics at the Institute of Business and Health Management, Dow University of Health Sciences, Pakistan. He has also served as an Associate Professor and Cluster Head of Finance and Accounting at the Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology, Pakistan. During his academic career, he has published in several well-reputed international journals, such as Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Environment Development and Sustainability, Journal of the Knowledge Economy, Management Research Review, South Asian Journal of Business Studies, International Journal of Disclosure and Governance, Accounting Research Journal, Cogent Business & Management, Cogent Economics and Finance, and International Journal of Business and Society. His research interests include corporate governance, ESG, green finance, political connections, family firms, ownership concentration, firm performance, and earnings quality.
