Luca Antonio Ricci

Luca Antonio Ricci is Assistant Director and Mission Chief at the International Monetary Fund, and a CEPR Research Fellow. He is Mission Chief for the West African Economic and Monetary Union and leads the African Department Working Group on Digital Payments. He previously was Mission Chief for the Ivory Coast, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, and Oman, and held positions in the Research Department, publishing over 40 papers in refereed journals. In 2010 he was Managing Director and Head of International Economics at Barclays Capital. Prior to joining the IMF, he was a visiting professor at Harvard University and the University of Konstanz. Mr. Ricci received a PhD and an MA in Economics from The Graduate Institute in Geneva, and a BA from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, summa cum laude.
