Abdullah holds a Ph.D. in financial management from Southwest Jiaotong University, China. He is currently serving as an International Senior Lecturer at Universiti Utara Malaysia. He has published several research papers in reputable journals, including Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental Management, Research in International Business & Finance, Asia-Pacific Journal of Accounting & Economics, International Review of Economics & Finance, and Emerging Markets, Finance & Trade. Moreover, he serves as a reviewer for several international research journals. His research interests include Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), capital budgeting, corporate governance, political connections, earnings quality, Islamic finance, and stock market development.
