Christine Balagué

Institut Mines-Télécom Business School

Christine Balagué is Professor-HDR of AI and Society at the Institut Mines-Télécom (IMT-BS) and founder of the research network Good in Tech (www.goodintech.org). Her research focuses on AI ethics and risks, AI and society, AI in the information sector. Christine Balagué is also a member of several national committees: the Defence Ethics Committee and the High Authority for Health’s impact on recommendations. As Vice-President of the National Digital Council from 2013 to 2016, she participated in various works submitted to the French government on the major digital issues (net neutrality, platform neutrality, e-inclusion, e-education, e-health, digital ambition). In 2024, she was a non-resident fellow of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. She is also the author of more than 90 publications in international scientific journals and conferences, as well as several books on digital and society.

Christine Balagué holds a PhD in Management Sciences from HEC, graduated from ESSEC and a Master of Econometrics at ENSAE. She is also a Knight of the National Order of Merit.
