Anastasia Maga currently holds the post of Research Fellow with Stockholm Environment Institute Asia. Previously, she graduated with a doctoral degree in political studies from Transbaikal State University (Russia) in 2008. Her interests include shadow economy, illicit financial flows (IFFs), educational tourism, innovation economy, regional growth, tourism, ESG, sustainable finance, and finance for development. She has over 60 publications in various journals and conferences, as well as a few monographs and working papers. She has vast experience in international project management and has been doing various research and academic work at different levels since 2004.
