Grace LI is a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund African Department. Her expertise spans macro-finance, macro-fiscal, and growth and development. Since joining the IMF, she has worked in European Department, Fiscal Affairs Department, Research Department, and Western Hemisphere Department, as country economist for G7 economies—including the United States, China, Australia, Canada—and for a range of developing countries. She has published extensively in top peer-reviewed academic journals on banking, development, and policy issues. She was an adjunct assistant professor at Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where she taught Development and Growth. Ms. Li holds PhD. and M.A. degrees from the University of Chicago.
