Whitebox eyes liquid alternatives

Whitebox plans to remain a mid-sized hedge fund but has big ambitions when it comes to the liquid alternatives area. Success, say the partners, will hinge on adherence to its investment principles


When Whitebox Advisors was set up in 2000, founder Andrew Redleaf laid out a set of investment principles he wanted to guide the company’s development.
