Operational due diligence a critical part of hedge fund pre-investment

The changing regulatory environment is the most significant factor driving the growing importance of operational due diligence (ODD) among hedge fund investors, according to a survey by Deutsche Bank's hedge fund consulting group.

Almost 75% of those surveyed rank a fund's compliance and regulatory framework as the top priority for 2013.

Investors are placing greater emphasis on the depth and breadth of their ODD team, with 80% of respondents saying they have a dedicated team. On average
