The growing interest in hedge fund investments has resulted in a significant level of enquiry related to the possibilities for securitising this unique asset class. Securitisation may provide hedge fund managers with lower funding costs, the ability to transfer existing portfolios of fund investments, a more diversified investor base, and the opportunity to utilise leverage in an effort to increase returns.
