Keeping up with demand

Martin Phipps has found himself in a very enviable position. As head of hedge funds at Gartmore, demand for his firm's hedge funds is well and truly outstripping supply with five of nine single strategy hedge funds closed.

'We have had four single strategy hedge funds that have open and then closed, either at launch or just a few months after launch,' Phipps explains.
