Asia and commodities hedge fund strategies are proving popular for allocators going into the second quarter of 2007, although the latter had a hard time of it in March.

Dutch multi-manager and wealth-management group Finles noted "tectonic shifts in the world's investment outlook, created by accelerating globalisation, are still in their early stages and favour investors in absolute-return funds focusing on Asia and commodities markets over the next year and long term."
