A hedge fund industry undergoing seismic change is not only presenting challenges to investors. Technology firms, too, are having to adapt to the new landscape, or perish

New trading instruments, the development of a world of hybrid hedge funds and large launches are among the key trends hedge fund technology firms foresee they will have to grapple with in 2005.

Clare Flynn, president of Beauchamp Financial Technology, predicts three main trends will present themselves as challenges to the hedge fund IT industry and will continue to be of importance over 2005.
