An increasing number of UK pension funds are likely be interested in investing in hedge funds, thanks to the latest Code of Best Practice requirements

Capacity and reliable investment process are highest on the shopping lists of pension fund managers for hedge funds, according to the consultants who advise pension managers.

Transparency is less of an issue as most pension managers tend to favour gaining hedge fund exposure via the funds of fund approach, leaving issues such as portfolio transparency and analysis up to the funds of fund manager.

Equity exposure in the hedge fund and stipulations of less volatile, fixed interest strategies instead
