Change of focus as fixed managers look to LatAm

Latin American bonds are drawing the attention fixed interest managers away from the healthy returns that Asian bonds have provided them over the past 12 months.

Michael Mabbutt, manager of Thames River Capital's Hillside Apex global fixed income absolute return fund, says: 'The trend for us will be to seek opportunities to enter Latin America in the next six to 12 months.

'In the last year and a half we have made a lot of our money in Asia, but our focus now will be out of Asia and into Latin
