European focus for CDC IXIS arbitrage fund

French structured product provider CDC IXIS Asset Management is to expand its hedge fund range with the launch of a convertible arbitrage fund this autumn focusing mainly on European convertibles.

Isabelle Reux-Brown, director of alternative structured asset management at CDC IXIS Asset Management, said the portfolio would be between 60% and 70% invested from European issuers, whose issuance represents about one-third of the global convertibles market.

The fund will be aimed at high net worth
