Survival of the fattest? Can smaller hedge fund houses survive pension funds' push?


Many analysts are predicting that the overall market growth of the hedge fund sector will slow over the next few years, having seen tremendous growth over the previous decade.

However, as the industry matures, there are likely to be significant opportunities for specialised hedge fund and FoHF strategies dealing more with emerging institutional-investor groups - a cycle that is not totally dissimilar to the one witnessed by the long-only sector in the 1990's.
