Hungarian utility signs for KWI software

MVM, one of Hungary’s biggest electricity wholesalers, has signed up to use KW3000, the energy trading and risk management system developed by London-based energy risk management software company KWI.

State-owned MVM is preparing for the opening of the Hungarian electricity market, currently set for January 1, 2003. MVM says it chose KW3000 to ensure it was in a position to start trading its assets by this date.
